With over 100 participants, the workshop on the Biodiversity Action Plan and the associated BAP Monitor on 23 March 2021 as part of the We Value Nature 10 Days Challenge was a great success.

The workshop focused on the methodology of the Biodiversity Action Plan and the associated monitoring tool (BAP Monitor). The Biodiversity Action Plan has been developed over the last years and in numerous projects by the Global Nature Fund and describes a methodology to address biodiversity management at the corporate and farm level. The BAP Monitor is an Excel-based monitoring tool produced by Global Nature Fund together with UEBT and GIZ as part of the PBAB project.

Both BAP and BAP Monitor generated a lot of interest during the online event. "This is not surprising," described Tobias Ludes (GNF). "Biodiversity monitoring is on everyone's lips. The trick is to find monitoring approaches that can be easily implemented and still help to evaluate the development of biodiversity measures and also their impact on local flora and fauna."
