Europe is a leading producer of wine, Turkey for sultanas. Spain, Portugal and Turkey are among the most important European countries with the largest wine-growing areas - both organic and conventional. Agriculture plays a decisive role in preserving biological diversity. So far, farmers, especially wine growers, have had little contact on the issue of biological diversity in the context of their professional training.
The project organizes the transfer of knowledge between the partner organizations and the countries involved. Particularly important are the experiences from the "Nature Protection and Biodiversity Conservation as a Task for CSR in small and medium sized businesses, Germany" project, conducted between 2012 and 2014.
