07 January 2022: The tentative agreement establishes mandatory due diligence requirements for all operators and traders marketing, supplying or exporting from the EU the following products: Palm oil, beef, timber, coffee, cocoa, rubber and soy. The rules also apply to a range of derived products such as chocolate, furniture, printing paper and selected palm oil-based derivatives (e.g. as ingredients in personal care products). A review will be conducted in two years to determine if additional products need to be covered.
