The Methodological Convention 3.0 for the Assessment of Environmental Costs (Methodenkonvention 3.0 zur Ermittlung von Umweltkosten) provides new cost rates for emissions of greenhouse gases, air pollutants and noise, as well as for transport and energy. These cost rates can be used, i.a., to calculate the environmental costs of production processes or investments (e.g., through internal CO2-prices).
At the event we will present the new cost rates and give a brief overview over the methods used to derive them. We will also give some illustrating examples of how the cost rates can be applied in a business context.
