Review: Food for Biodiversity at the Agricultural University Day in Hohenheim

On 20 October 2022, the Agricultural University Day was held at the University of Hohenheim, Germany, this year titled: "Biodiversity and Agriculture: (not) a contradiction?" The event took place on site and was well attended with about 100 participants.

22 October 2022: The Agricultural University Day in Hohenheim was streamed live on the Internet, so that another 120 people could participate this way. Intensive agriculture is now seen as one of the main drivers of species loss. However, in a positive sense, this also means that numerous levers need to be set in motion here in order to put a stop to the loss of biodiversity. Experts from science and practice discussed this.

Ralph Dejas, project manager at the Global Nature Fund and coordinator of the Food for Biodiversity association founded in 2021, was invited to present the activities of this strong alliance and to participate in the panel discussion at the end of the day. The Global Nature Fund is involved as a project partner in the UBi project "Business and Biodiversity". The association Food for Biodiversity is also involved in this project.

The German presentation slides of the keynote speech can be downloaded here. The video recording of the lecture can be found here (starting at about minute 21).
