OUR MISSION:

throughout the world to conserve the integrity
and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable

Sustainability

Biodiversity is THE KEY area and expertise of IUCN`s work! One can describe IUCN as the
"UN for nature", as our members include more than 60 governments (incl. the U.S.)and almost all the NGOs active in nature conservation (and beyond). Thus, our strength is to bring together stakeholders from every part of society; we see ourselves as advisors for decision makers, providing the scientific facts for sound decision making.
