Nature- and landscape conservation activities were auctioneered which had no or only insufficient financing. Offered were measures like the dredging of water bodies as an extra spawn spot for amphibians or the erection of a stork's nest mast. The objects were distributed all over the administrative district of Ravensburg. The minimum bid started at € 65 and went up to several hundred Euros, so there were objects for every purse. The highest bid was placed by the Technische Werke Schussental (TWS), for the planting of a phenological hedge and its maintenance for 10 years. TWS participated for the second time in a landscape auction already. An important part of the auction was the commitment of all the other bidders. They made it possible that frogs and toads get a new traffic routing. Birds, insects and mammals receive an opportunity to retreat in a wild hedge, that fruit-bearing trees will be planted and Eurasian swifts and bats find new breeding and resting places. The landscape auction was supported by EU-nature conservation program LIFE+ and by PLENUM Allgäu-Oberschwaben.

A special thank belongs to Uli Boettcher. The actor and cabaret artist took on the part of the auctioneer and lead through the program with charm and humor. He combined entertainment and commitment for nature and biodiversity in a very skillful way and could thus elicit a bid more from the one or the other.

For the second time, the event was held under the patronage of Kurt Widmaier, the head of the district administration. The organisers of the landscape-auction Lake Constance Foundation (Bodensee-Stiftung), BUND, the agency for the promotion of economic development of the administrative district Ravensburg (WiR) and Triple E also used the event to draw attention of private enterprises in the region to the importance and urgency of the conservation of nature and cultural landscapes. In this way the attractiveness of the industrial location where the auction was held can also be maintained and enhanced.
